Possible Skin Conditions

The following images are associated with diseases found on children's lips. They range from harmless conditions (eg, moles, cracked and chapped lips) to more serious lesions including cold sores caused by the herpes simplex virus. A red appearing growth called a pyogenic granuloma may be located directly on a lip, whereas itchy, red rashes may be found around the lips (dermatitis).
